1. Describe your business
My background is in beauty and have been a makeup artist for over five years. I saw a gap in the market for a product that helps remove makeup quickly and effectively – but that was also eco-friendly and kinder to the environment.
Face and baby wipes are used by 1.3 million people every day. That would fill five school buses with wipes, which go directly into our landfills.
Our product is reusable, has recyclable packaging and requires no chemicals or soaps – reducing waste and helping to protect our environment, as well as cleansing skin sensitively!
2. What made you register for the NMD Business Growth programme?
I had my business idea and was passionate about making it work – I just didn’t know what the next steps were in making it a reality. I needed some guidance and advice, so the NMD Business Growth programme was the perfect way to help.
3. Has the programme been beneficial to your business?
Absolutely. Growth doesn’t happen overnight, but throughout this programme I have made some invaluable new contacts and learnt a lot along the way. It has opened my eyes to the world of business and I’m excited about being an entrepreneur!
4. What are the key learnings you have taken from the programme?
The programme helped me develop a robust business plan and clearly define my financial objectives.
5. Has your company grown or identified new areas for growth through the programme?
We’re still in the early stages of the business but I am confident it won’t be long before we grow and expand, once manufacturing is complete.
6. Would you recommend the programme to other businesses?
I would definitely recommend the programme to other businesses. We were really unsure about where to start, who to approach and what steps we should take next, but the programme helped guide us and give us the confidence to move to the next stage. There was no such thing as a stupid question and their expert team were incredibly helpful.
