Jumping Clay is a specialist air drying, mess free and 100% nontoxic modelling clay that allows children to bring their own characters, toys and imagination to life.
My business involves facilitating bespoke workshops and classes, often within schools, after school clubs or birthday parties, to demonstrate and show kids the best ways to use the clay and produce their own creations. I have also worked with various organisations and groups involving those impacted by Alzheimers, head injury and special needs or learning difficulties.
2. What made you register for the NMD Business Growth programme?
While I have always loved being self-employed and have a real passion for my work, I felt I needed a little extra support from a professional to help boost my business. That’s why I reached out to the NMD Business Growth programme.
3. Has the programme been beneficial to your business?
The majority of my work totally ceased due to the Covid-19 outbreak, so the timing and nature of the support from the programme couldn’t be better. I have benefited from the programme more than I ever could have expected.
4. What are the key learnings you have taken from the programme?
My keys learnings have been how to survive in these unprecedented times, including specifically how and where to explore new business avenues while schools are closed.
5. Has your company grown or identified new areas for growth through the programme?
My business strategy has shifted, as a result of the advice from my mentor David. I am now concentrating on the retail of our clay box sets and using social media to help drive sales.
6. Would you recommend the programme to other businesses?
I would 100% recommend this programme to other businesses. It’s more important now than ever to focus on your business and explore new ways that will help it to grow. Sometimes a fresh view and a brand new approach can be the answer to unlocking your potential, but it might just take someone from outside the business to see that and help you get there.
